Guns are one of the four main ways to deal damage in the game, along with Fruits, Fighting Styles and Swords. Guns are weapon classifications of backing-and-zoning, ranged weapons that can be found and bought everywhere in the Blox Fruits universe. Like how guns work in real life or in other games, they'll need to be reloaded when shot, with the exception of using their skills.
