Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno is the sequel to the Rurouni Kenshin live-action film, which is based on the time when Himura Kenshin is asked by his old rival Saitō Hajime to help him put an end to Shishio Makoto's reign of terror. The film reunited Keishi Ohtomo (the director) with actors who played roles in the NKH television series called Ryomaden.
