Mario is the titular main protagonist of Illumination's 13th feature film The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is a plumber from Brooklyn, alongside his twin brother Luigi who got transported to Mushroom Kingdom and seeks help from Princess Peach to find his brother and gets asked by her to help save her kingdom. I personally really dislike that the movie is making Luigi the damsel in distress. He should be accompanying Mario on his adventure, not waiting for his big brother to rescue him.
